Nilo® 42 (Also known as Alloy 42, Invar 42, UNS K94200, UNS N94100, Dilaton41, FeNi36, 64FeNi) is an iron-nickel controlled expansion alloy containing 42% nickel with a low and nominally constant coefficient of thermal expansion in the 20°C (85° F) range up to about 300°C (570 °F). Nilo® Alloy 42 is extensively used in the oil and gas, pharma, medical, electronics, automotive industries as well as many other precision engineers in various applications including bi-metal thermostat strips, thermostat rods, electronic tubes, glass to metal and ceramic to metal seals.
We hold a large range of Nilo® Alloy 42 stock in bars from 2inch right up to 10inch for immediate international dispatch. We also supply Nilo® 42 in wire, plate, sheet & strip. Where required we offer a cutting and drilling service to supply you with material to your specification and requirements. We have no minimum order requirement on Alloy 42 orders. All our metal is European produced material.
Nilo® 42 or Ni 42 is also known technically as:
